Something's missing... Empty Something's missing...

I've been experimenting with color theory and my coloring skills (XD if I had any) as well as the paint pattern.They've been my new love and I came up with this guy (currently just nicknamed 'Paint') I'm not finished his design, I wish I was, because I feel as though something's missing.I can't put my finger on it.Maybe it's the color but I don't know...it just doesn't feel like something that's quite complete.
So yeah any pointers or help would be appreciated.

PS:Lines are not mine ^.^ and the eyes and nose haven't been done yet.Just the main colors.

Maybe it needs another marking and color? I kind of feel it lacks white... o.O

Maybe white on the ears, tail, and legs, or a white marking somewhere, depending how much white you want.

Gah having a broken keyboard is very inconvenient. I rely on it way too much. Now I have to type using my tablet's on screen keyboard. I'll go and adjust him as soon as I teach my keyboard discipline (a.k.a slamming it some more)

I tried a few things the problem was the main body even after the suggestions the main body/torso still felt...empty. Gah this has been chewing at me for a while.

I always get that way and when I have the greatest idea I forget it moments later, unless I go back to the place I thought of it will remind me it is weird

Meh, I've just given up.I added a few ear markings and some on his tail and that's that.He shall look incomplete forever.Maybe I'll name him Incomplete.
I tested his design out on some tags to see if he's still that incomplete but it didn't seem too bad.

Looks nice but...a bit plain maybe O.O... now it hits me, he's too plain looking. /facedesk
